The Pittsburgh Steelers offense is off to a rocky start against the New England Patriots and it's just getting worse. According to multiple reports, including ESPN's Brooke Pryor, starting running back Rico Dowdle suffered an injury in the first half and was carted off to the locker room shortly before halftime.
It isn't clear when Dowdle suffered the injury or its nature as of yet but we expect an update from the team about his status with halftime quickly approaching. With Dowdle out, the team's only viable running back on the roster is Jaylen Warren, who is essentially a co-starter.
Steelers RB Rico Dowdle was in the blue medical tent and is now going back to the locker room on a cart after hobbling over to it. He's sitting in the front passenger
seat, fwiw.
