The Pittsburgh Steelers were already short-handed before last week's win over the Indianapolis Colts. Now, according to head coach Mike McCarthy, the team will be much worse off this week against the Indianapolis Colts. McCarthy held his weekly press conference on Monday and said that wide receivers Ben Skowronek and Roman Wilson will both miss this week's game.
Skowronek was lost in the second quarter last week with a calf injury. Then in the second half, Wilson went down with a finger injury. Wilson was seen after Sunday's win with a heavy wrap on his hand. Reports are that Wilson will be out for multiple weeks with the injury.
Wilson moved into a heavier workload with Michael Pittman Jr. on IR with a foot injury of his own. Now, with Wilson out
as well, look for Pittsburgh to lean even more heavily on rookie wide receiver Germie Bernard. The Steelers will also continue to lean heavily on running back Jaylen Warren, who is having an All-Pro season and tight end Pat Freiermuth who is finally getting his due in the passing game.
