One cut-down day, the Pittsburgh Steelers released LB Malik Harrison due to a lack of production and a bloated salary and he's now on the New York Giants practice squad. This is according to NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler. Harrison should have an opportunity to play on a Giants team that can use help on run defense.
Harrison was part of a crowded linebacker group and his massive salary cap hit was likely the deal breaker between him and guys like Cole Holcomb and Carson Bruener. Harrison joined veteran Elandon Roberts as highly productive veteran linebackers who missed the cut. Pittsburgh will primarily use Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson.
