Best No. 17 in Steelers history: WR Mike Wallace
For the third countdown to kickoff in a row, a wide receiver takes the top spot. When it comes to No. 17, the greatest wearer in franchise history in wide receiver Mike Wallace.
Wallace, selected by Pittsburgh with the 84th overall pick in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft, quickly cemented himself as one of Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger's favorite targets during
his four years in Pittsburgh. From 2009 to 2012, Wallace caught 235 passes for 4,042 yards and 32 touchdowns, the latter of which is 11th most in Steelers history.
His lone 2011 Pro Bowl selection doesn't do his career justice, but his strong overall performance during his four years in Pittsburgh is enough to recognize him as the best No. 17 in Steelers history.
