The Indianapolis Colts could be missing a key weapon in their passing attack for their Week 5 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On Wednesday's practice report, veteran eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen, who missed Week 4 with a groin injury, was once again limited. Allen received an additional NIR/rest designation, but the groin injury was still listed on Wednesday's report.
Allen, a 14th-year veteran, spent the first 11 years of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers before joining the Chicago Bears, where he played for one season. He returned to the Chargers in 2025 and had a solid season in which he recorded 81 catches for 777 yards and four touchdowns. Allen signed with the Colts this past August and has looked solid for Indianapolis,
recording 13 catches for 100 yards and one touchdown through three games.
If Allen can't suit up, the Colts' already injury-ridden wide receiver room will need to lean heavily on Josh Downs and Laquon Treadwell. Pittsburgh would be wise to go all in on stopping the Colts' rushing attack in Week 5, which would make Indianapolis one-dimensional in its weakest area on offense.
