Through seven games, the Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting at 5-2 and tied up top in the AFC North. But despite this team's success, Pittsburgh is sending scouts all over the country every weekend, scouting top prospects for the 2027 NFL Draft.
In this latest mock draft update, we go with five full rounds and despite picking No. 22 overall, land themselves a franchise quarterback candidate.
First round - QB CJ Carr - Notre Dame
The top of the quarterback class is a mess but Notre Dame's CJ Carr has been incredibly consistent and productive this season. He's got all the physical tools to succeed in the NFL and his football IQ is through the roof.
Second round - CB Zabien Brown - Alabama
In future planning, after the Joey Porter Jr. we land Zabien Brown who is emerging as a lockdown cornerback with impressive measurables.
Third round - WR Amare Thomas - Houston
Amare
Thomas is a great catch-and-run receiver and while we wish he was better at getting separation in his routes, he's the top receiver on the board here.
Third round - RB Raleek Brown - Texas
Rico Dowdle and Jaylen Warren are both heading into the final years of their contracts in 2027 so we go with Brown here to groom as the replacement for one of them after the season.
Fifth round - S Amare Ferrell - Indiana
Ferrell is a long, rangy safety who stands out thanks to his instinct and nose for the football in coverage.
