The Pittsburgh Steelers saw the New England Patriots suffer an unfortunate injury to their superstar wide receiver, and the latest update leaves his availability in doubt for the Week 2 clash between the two teams.
Brown, who exited the third quarter of the Patriots' season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, reportedly suffered a high-ankle sprain, per NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. While X-rays were negative, Brown will reportedly have an MRI to determine how much time he'll miss. This obviously could have a huge impact on the Steelers-Patriots Week 2 clash, depending on the results.

Brown, who was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, quickly emerged as one of the league's top receiving threats. During his stints with the Titans (2019-2021) and Philadelphia Eagles (2022-2025), Brown recorded six 1,000-receiving-yard seasons and 56 total touchdowns en route to three Second-Team All-Pro selections.
High-ankle sprains are no joke, and Brown should at least miss the Week 2 matchup against the Steelers. In an attempt not to drop to 0-2 with a loss to Pittsburgh, the Patriots will have Romeo Doubs and DeMario Douglas as their primary receiving threats.
