The Pittsburgh Steelers are entering a worst-case scenario when it comes to their cornerback room, as the team received a terrible injury update just days away from their Thursday Night Football game against the Cleveland Browns.
According to Sports Director Jenna Harner of WPXI-TV Channel 11, Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey was spotted with his right arm in a sling, while cornerback Brandin Echols remains in concussion protocol. If neither player can suit up, the Steelers will be down both slot cornerbacks.
To make matters worse, the Steelers still haven't figured out what's going on with Joey Porter Jr.'s return to the field. Jamel Dean also missed time in practice last week with an ankle injury before eventually suiting up for Week 3's game
against the Cincinnati Bengals. Oh, and Asante Samuel Jr. is coming off his worst performance of the season.
The Steelers may need to err on the side of caution and keep both Echols and Ramsey out of Thursday's game against Cleveland, potentially opening the door for Daylen Everette and Doneiko Slaughter to play a huge role in Week 4.
