Fans only need to wait 11 more days until the Steel City brand of football returns when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Atlanta Falcons on September 13. In the spirit of the countdown to kickoff, we'll take a look at the most recent and best players to ever wear No. 11.
Steelers current No. 11: WR Michael Pittman Jr.
Pittman, who was traded to the Steelers this past March, is the current No. 11 on Pittsburgh's roster.
Last 5 Steelers to wear No. 11
- Michael Pittman, 2026-present
- Marquez Valdes-Scantling, 2025
- Van Jefferson, 2024
- Allen Robinson, 2023
- Chase Claypool, 2020-2022
Best No. 11 in Steelers history: WR Chase Claypool
The No. 11 countdown to kickoff brings us to the one that got away: wide receiver Chase Claypool.
Claypool, who was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, quickly emerged as a talented playmaker for Pittsburgh, recording 2,211 yards from scrimmage and 14 total touchdowns during his first two-and-a-half seasons with Pittsburgh.
Unfortunately, the Steelers
traded Claypool for the Chicago Bears' second-round pick, which would become the No. 32 overall selection that became Joey Porter Jr. Claypool was truly the gift that kept on giving.
While No. 11 doesn't have the storied history of other entries on our list, Claypool is arguably the best wearer in franchise history.
