On Sunday, guard Brock Hoffman got his first start of the year for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After two weeks of struggles, Hoffman stepped in for Spencer Anderson and his Hoffman in the starting lineup was a huge reason quarterback Aaron Rodgers was able to throw for 292 yards on the way to a 30-27 win.
Pro Football Focus shared their top five highest pass-blocking grades from Week Three, and putting aside how three Detroit Lions were in the top five, Hoffman made the cut at No. 2. The Steelers signed Hoffman in March as a free agent. Hoffman and McCarthy go back to their time together with the Dallas Cowboys. Hoffman had 17 starts in four seasons in Dallas, including seven starts in 2024 and seven more in 2025.

In addition to Hoffman at guard, the Steelers also had a new starting right tackle with Max Iheanachor getting the nod over Dylan Cook.
