In preparation for the Week 7 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, the Pittsburgh Steelers saw superstar edge rusher T.J. Watt pick up a new injury just a few days out from Sunday's game in Paris.
Courtesy of the Steelers' updated injury report, Watt, who started the week with a non-injury-related/resting veteran designation, picked up a calf injury on Thursday and was limited in practice.

Watt, drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, wasted little time emerging as one of the best edge rushers the league has ever seen. During his 10 years in Pittsburgh, he has recorded
119.5 sacks, 142 tackles for loss, 37 forced fumbles, and 10 interceptions. He has also received multiple awards and honors, including four First-Team All-Pro selections, two Second-Team All-Pro selections, eight Pro Bowl nods, and recognition as the 2021 Defensive Player of the Year.
While 2025 was a forgettable season for Watt, he started off 2026 with a bang, earning AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors in the regular-season opener for his stellar two-sack, three-tackle-for-loss, and one-interception performance.
We at Steelers Wire will monitor Watt's status following Friday's practice, with hopes that he can possibly upgrade to full participation and play against the Saints in Paris.
