Injuries have hit the Pittsburgh Steelers hard during the first two weeks of training camp, but new head coach Mike McCarthy has provided some promising news on their statuses moving forward.
On Thursday, McCarthy was asked about the conditions of safety DeShon Elliott (hamstring) and the three players on the physically unable to perform list: Joey Porter Jr. (back), Jalen Ramsey (knee), and Donte Kent (foot). The head coach clarified that the injuries weren't as serious as believed.
"There's no high concern for any of the [injured] guys right now," McCarthy said via reporter Chris Adamski.
Asked about the 3 players on PUP and the limited DeShon Elliott (and by extension, perhaps Logan Lee), Mike McCarthy's injury update comes down to: "There's
no high concern for any of the (injured) guys right now."

Hopefully, McCarthy's positive update includes the likes of rookie offensive tackle Max Iheanachor (shoulder) and veteran cornerback Brandin Echols (lower leg), two promising players who suffered injuries during Day 6 of training camp.
