Key injuries are rearing their ugly head in a huge way for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The timing couldn't be worse, as the Steelers are set to travel on the road to face the Cleveland Browns on a short week for Thursday Night Football. But head coach Mike McCarthy just provided a huge update on one of the Steelers' injured All-Pro defenders.
On Monday, McCarthy told reporters that cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who was spotted with his right arm in a sling, has suffered a wrist injury. He also added that Ramsey would do everything he can to suit up in Week 4.
"Jalen has a wrist injury," McCarthy said. "I mean, we'll obviously get to the report today after practice, and so forth. But it's too early to tell. Based on his history, I think he'll do everything
he possibly can to play."
Courtesy of Monday's injury report, Ramsey was at least able to log limited participation with his wrist setback. It's unknown when exactly Ramsey picked up the injury, with the talented defensive back having played every snap on defense in Week 3.
Hopefully, the setback isn't as serious as previously believed, as the Steelers may already be down slot cornerback Brandin Echols (concussion) in Week 4, and losing Ramsey would be another huge hit to Pittsburgh's secondary.
