In an expected move, the Pittsburgh Steelers have released one of the backup linebackers who has continually slid down the depth chart over the past month.
Following the release of fan-favorite Elandon Roberts, the Steelers have also parted ways with struggling linebacker Malik Harrison, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Harrison, who played with the Baltimore Ravens from 2020 to 2024, signed with the Steelers in 2025 free agency on a two-year deal worth $10 million. He appeared in 11 games and made nine starts for Pittsburgh, recording 41 combined tackles and two tackles for loss last season.
Unfortunately, Harrison's level of play did not live up to his contract, and his departure
saves Pittsburgh roughly $4.75 million in cap space.
