Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown's second-degree attempted murder case received an important update on Wednesday.
According to TMZ and ESPN, Brown's lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, revealed that the former Steelers wide receiver will take a plea deal that would "dramatically reduce the second-degree attempted murder charge … and will allow him to avoid prison all altogether."
TMZ added that Brown, who was facing up to 30 years in prison, will get probation, per Eiglarsh.
The case stems from a May 16, 2025, shooting outside Adin Ross' celebrity boxing event in Miami, where Brown allegedly got into a physical altercation with a man identified as Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu.
According to the arrest warrant, Brown allegedly grabbed a handgun
from a security guard and chased after Nantambu, firing two shots at him. Nantambu told investigators that one of the bullets had grazed his neck, while Brown continued to maintain that he acted in self-defense.
