It didn't take any time for former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. to join his new team and do his first press conference as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. He also wasted no time in painting himself as some sort of victim in this entire trade process and have a good laugh at the expense of his old team as his fake back injury.
Porter said he felt disrespected in the process.
"Definitely," Porter said. "Definitely, like I said, it was a hard process. Lots of ups and downs. Definitely felt disrespected. Definitely felt, um, undervalued, but that's old news now. That's how I look at it. I'm on to new beginnings, new chapters, and like I said, I'm a Cowboy. I'm in Dallas. I'm happy about that."
It became clear when Porter Jr. and the
Steelers didn't have a contract by the start of the season that he wasn't going to stay with the team. It just took the team four weeks to figure that out. Porter Jr. admitted he pulled himself from this week's game and this was the final straw for the team.
