Ben Roethlisberger is no stranger to being called out by his former Pittsburgh Steelers teammates, but Le'Veon Bell's latest claim is definitely eye-opening.
On a new episode of the Ball in the Family Podcast, Bell claimed that Roethlisberger purposely took a delay of game to cost him a huge rushing opportunity against a favorable defensive alignment. When asked why Big Ben would do such a thing, Bell pointed out his absence from the 2017 training camp.
"I didn't come to camp," Bell said. "I didn't come to camp, bro. He trying to make an example of me."
Bell continued, saying that he didn't think Roethlisberger purposely cost him until he watched the game back and double-checked his stats from the game. Bell also claimed that Big Ben had been telling
him all week that he needed to "knock some of that rust off" after he missed training camp, as well as calling out his former quarterback for purposefully throwing a pass behind him during the game.
Big Ben has admitted that he wasn't the best teammate in the past, whether it was calling out his playmakers or something else entirely. But Bell's comments take those criticisms to an entirely new level.
