On Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced multiple roster moves ahead of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. The team announced they had elevated wide receivers Brandon Smith and Brandon Johnson from the practice squad but the big news is that Pittsburgh has activated safety DeShon Elliott from the Reserve/Injured list which means he should play on Sunday in Paris.
This week will be Elliott's regular-season debut after suffering a significant knee and hamstring injury almost a year ago to the day against the Green Bay Packers. In Elliott's absence, Jaquan Brisker and rookie Robert Spears-Jennings have played well, along with defensive back Jalen Ramsey.

Elliott appeared in only five games last season and finished with 38 tackles. The Steelers look forward to having his physical presence back on a defense that has struggled to tackle well in 2026.
