The Pittsburgh Steelers appeared to dodge a special teams-sized bullet in the Week 3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, as veteran punter Cameron Johnston suffered a frightening hit that would make most fans shudder.
With over six minutes remaining in the third quarter, Johnston punted 53 yards to Cincinnati's 6-yard line. But Bengals defensive end Cedric Johnson crashed into Johnston's plant leg, resulting in a scary collision and a roughing the kicker penalty that led to a DK Metcalf touchdown.

Johnston, who's performing admirably in Year 10, was grimacing in pain before walking off the field under his own power, waving off the Steelers'
medical staff in the process. Johnston entered the blue medical tent but quickly returned to the sideline, where he'd finish the game strong with a punt that was muffed and recovered by Steelers wide receiver and special teams ace Ben Skowronek.
Previously, the veteran punter saw his 2024 season with the Steelers end after taking a very similar hit to his kicking leg. Luckily, Johnston appears to be okay after this latest scary hit to his plant leg.
