It's only been one week of the NFL regular season but inconsistent officiating has already popped up in the Pittsburgh Steelers

20-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. It was particularly egregious in how they handled the coverage and missing on multiple obvious pass interference calls. This did not go unnoticed by quarterback Aaron Rodgers who made a risky call when he decided to call out the officials after the game.

"We had a lot of chances." Rodgers said. "I mean Roman [Wilson] gets interfered with; that's going to be a touchdown. DK gets interfered with; they don't call it. DK gets interfered with in the end zone, almost makes a heroic catch; they don't call it. We had some opportunities. Oh, first third down of the game, DK in the slot, beats

him, getting held, no call. So, it was interesting. There were a lot of flags, but some of those where we had a chance weren't the flags. But, I like the plan from Mike, I like the play calling. We took some shots."

We loved the aggressive way head coach Mike McCarthy ran the passing offense, but that style is predicated on getting some calls downfield. If the officials aren't going to throw the flags when they should, it could force the Steelers passing game to dial things back to avoid mistakes.
