It's official: the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed a familiar face at wide receiver, a veteran who knows Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy all too well.
On Tuesday, the Steelers signed veteran wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad following his release from the Los Angeles Chargers.

Valdes-Scantling, a nine-year veteran, previously played for the Green Bay Packers (2018-2021), Kansas City Chiefs (2022-2023), Buffalo Bills (2024), New Orleans Saints (2024), San Francisco 49ers (2025), Steelers (2025), the Dallas Cowboys (2026), and most recently the Chargers (2026). He has appeared in 119 career games and made 70 starts, recording
221 catches for 3,708 yards and 21 touchdowns.
The addition of Valdes-Scantling was a welcome one, as the Steelers already lost two wide receivers to injured reserve: Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson. It shouldn't be long until Valdes-Scantling gets called up from the practice squad to the active roster.
