Trades, trades, and more trades have been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers in recent weeks, including one for Indianapolis Colts guard Quenton Nelson. But would it make sense for all parties involved? Here's what fans should know.
There are rumors that the Colts could be heading for a fire sale at the trade deadline, which may leave Nelson, a multi-time First-Team All-Pro, up for grabs if the price is right. Considering that he's in the final year of his contract and teams may view him as a rental, the Steelers could acquire him for less than a potential first-round asking price.
Colts' trade update could be great news for Steelers

Nelson is arguably
the best guard in all of football and deserves a chance to compete, which likely won't come anytime soon on a Colts team staring down a 2-5 start. If the Steelers were to offer a 2027 second-round pick, in combination with a late Day 3 selection, the Colts may be willing to send this All-Pro rental to Pittsburgh.
If Nelson is truly available, the Steelers likely won't be the only team interested in acquiring the elite guard. The Baltimore Ravens, for example, have also been linked as possible trade suitors, which would be a disaster waiting to happen for the rest of the AFC North.
