The Pittsburgh Steelers cracked the top 10 of NFL team rankings following their Week 8 domination of the Cleveland Browns.
Courtesy of FOX Sports' latest Monday Morning Top 10 rankings update, the Steelers were ranked as the No. 10 team in the league thanks to their impressive 26-7 victory over Cleveland.
"Don’t look now, but Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy have the Steelers poised to take over the AFC North," Fox Sports' Bucky Brooks wrote. The offense remains a little clunky, but the veteran quarterback and grizzled coach are maximizing the talent around Rodgers to get the job done. With the defense adapting to defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and his intricate schemes, the Steelers are a dark horse to fear down the stretch."
In Week 8, the
Steelers completely decimated the Browns in every facet of the game. Offensively, the Steelers' offense put up 361 total yards, including 200 rushing yards, thanks to running backs Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle's stellar performance. On the defensive side of the ball, the Steelers forced two turnovers, didn't allow a single touchdown, and sacked Deshaun Watson eight times.
Hopefully, the Steelers can improve upon their NFL team ranking, but they'll have to wait until after their bye week, when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals on the road November 15.
