Falling to 2-2 after a disappointing Thursday Night Football loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Pittsburgh Steelers have had a lot of time to recover and prepare for their Week 5 matchup
against the Indianapolis Colts. Offensively, the Steelers will need to be on their A-game to walk out of Sunday's game with their third win of the season. Luckily, we at Steelers Wire have several offensive keys to victory the team should follow. From getting the ball to Jaylen Warren to keeping the offense under center as much as possible, here's a look at three offensive keys to victory for the Steelers in Week 5.
Feed Jaylen Warren
It's hard not to sound like a broken record at this point, but Warren is by far the Steelers' best weapon on offense through four games this season.
Accumulating over 300 yards from scrimmage in the last two games combined, Warren has been a threat in both the receiving and ground games.
Unleash Roman Wilson
Wilson has looked solid to start the season, but has hardly seen the field. With Michael Pittman Jr. clearly not at 100% due to a foot injury and rookie Germie Bernard still unproven, it's time to take the training wheels off Wilson and let him take the top off defenses.
Stay under center
Pittsburgh's offense has quietly been one of the NFL's most efficient when under center, averaging 6.8 yards a play through four games, second-best in the league behind only the Kansas City Chiefs. The Steelers need to take advantage of their prolific heavy sets and capitalize on play action, something that very few quarterbacks do as well as Aaron Rodgers.
