According to Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer Ray Fittipaldo, the Steelers got a bit of good news at the cornerback position on Thursday. After the team traded away Joey Porter Jr. to the Dallas Cowboys overnight, the depth chart looked sparse heading into Thursday's game against the Cleveland Brown.
Fittipaldo is reporting that slot cornerback Brandin Echols, who was listed as questionable with a concussion has been removed from the injury report and is cleared to play tonight. This gives the Steelers secondary a huge boost heading into a huge AFC North showdown.
In addition to Echols, the Steelers are waiting on the status of defensive back Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey broke his wrist at the start of last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals but
hasn't ruled out playing if he can manage it.
Steelers CB Brandin Echols no longer has an injury designation and is expected to play tonight against the Browns. Yahya Black (personal) has been added to the game status report and is questionable.
