There was good news for the Washington Commanders in the long run Friday. And hours later, there was not good news for the Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The Commanders found out that quarterback Jayden Daniels and his elbow injury will not send him to IR. The belief is Daniels will miss 2-3 weeks. The team had to be thrilled with after the way it looked like Daniels was seriously hurt toward the end of the first half against the Dallas Cowboys.
That's the good. The Seattle Seahawks announced that Sam Darnold, who suffered a hip injury in the team's opener will be good to go against the Commanders.
The Darnold-Marcus Mariota matchup is ominous for Washington. In the 2025 game, Daniels injured the same non-throwing arm, well
after Seattle had roared to a 38-7 lead.
Darnold was 21-of-24 for 330 yards with 4 TD passes. Daniels was 16-of-22 for 153 yards with a pick before the injury.
