This was Edmunds' first season with New York after signing a three-year, $36 million contract in the offseason. He previously spent the past three years with the Chicago Bears and five years before that with the Buffalo Bills.
Edmunds already has 50 tackles this year, putting him on track for a career-high 142. He also has two sacks this year, tying
his season high, along with three tackles for loss and three quarterback hits.
New York leads their division but faces the Houston Texans on Sunday, who are on a two-game winning streak after starting the year 0-4. The Giants have now lost their top playmaker on both sides of the ball after losing starting quarterback Jaxson Dart in Week 2.
