After suffering a high ankle sprain in the Denver Broncos loss to the San Francisco 49ers last week, the Broncos have placed wide receiver Pat Bryant on short-term injured reserve.

The injury is unfortunate for several reasons, including Bryant's strong start to the season. He played in more than half of Denver's offensive snaps through the first four games of the year. Bryant already had nine receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos’ win against the Los Angeles Rams.
He
will be out for at least the next four weeks against the Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs, with a chance to return for the game against the Carolina Panthers. They are on bye after the Panthers game.
In a corresponding move, the Broncos elevated receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey to the active roster. He has only played in one game this season and has yet to catch a pass.

Humphrey joined Denver in 2023 and was released after the 2024 season. He signed with the New York Giants prior to the 2025 season. The Broncos claimed Humphrey off New York’s practice squad last year, and he has been with Denver ever since.
