Five weeks of the NFL season are now complete, and we're all starting to see the strengths and the weaknesses on our fantasy rosters. But plenty of football remains, and if you have a gap at wide receiver, the right starter could help you make up ground quickly. Here are the wide receivers you should start and the ones you should sit in Week 6.
Start Em'
Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders: Tucker has caught 19 passes for 274 yards and 1 touchdown through five games, accounting for 17% of his team's receptions and 21% of their receiving yards. He is also due for a big game after a few quiet ones. He'll have a great opportunity against the Buffalo Bills, who are currently allowing 28.2 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
Mike Evans, San Francisco
49ers: This one feels like a no-brainer. Evans had his two best performances of the season over the past two weeks, including a season-high 113 receiving yards and a touchdown last week against the Seahawks for 26.3 fantasy points. This week, he'll face a Commanders defense that have allowed the second-most points to perimeter receivers, with three wideout beating them for 29-or-more fantasy points this season.
Matthew Golden, Green Bay Packers: The Packers have been hit-or-miss this season, but in last week's win against Chicago, Golden and Christian Watson combined for 12 catches, 266 yards, and two touchdowns. This week, he'll face a Cowboys secondary that is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
Sit Em'
Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Egbuka had his best fantasy performance of the season last week, but that came against the Cowboys' defense. But Jalon Daniels isn't very efficient at moving the ball downfield, and this week he faces a Steelers defense that isn't a favorable matchup: they allow just the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
Luther Burden III, Chicago Bears: Burden III is holding up well enough since his starting quarterback, Caleb Williams, went down with a hamstring injury, but this week's match-up against the Falcons is not favorable. Atlanta is currently allowing the fewest fantasy points per route to slot receivers this season. And there is no guarantee Williams will be back this week, which further limits Burden's potential.
Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans: Tate has been held to single-digit fantasy points in three of his first five outings this season, averaging just 9.7 fantasy points per game. Tate is running 74% of his routes as an outside receiver this season, and he'll face a Colts defense that allows the fewest fantasy points per game to outside receivers.
