The NFL is back, and with that comes exciting upsets like the Arizona Cardinals winning over the Los Angeles Chargers, as well as the New York Giants pulling out a rare win at home to open the season against the Dallas Cowboys. The Raiders also made a statement against the Miami Dolphins. Still, injuries are a reality in football as usual, so Let's take a look at some of the notable names who have been injured during Week One and who could show up on the report Wednesday.
Baltimore Ravens WR Zay Flowers (Hamstring) & Ja'Kobi Lane (Wrist)
Zay Flowers left the game against the Indianapolis Colts with an injury on Sunday (Hamstring). Before exiting, he caught five passes for 150 yards and a touchdown. NFL Network NFL insider Ian Rapoport has since
reported that the injury may not be considered serious, and Flowers will undergo an MRI for further evaluation.
Rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane has reportedly suffered a broken wrist and could miss several weeks of the season.
Dallas Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown (Hamstring) & Safety Malik Hooker (Forearm)
Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered a hamstring injury Sunday night and will undergo further testing to determine the severity, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said.
Malik Hooker has suffered what appears to be a fractured forearm, according to Schottenheimer, and will undergo further testing.
Los Angeles Chargers WR Ladd McConkey (Chest)
McConkey had a great day through three quarters, catching five passes for 82 yards and a touchdown before taking a brutal hit to the chest at the end of the third quarter. He was originally listed as questionable, but never returned.
Minnesota Vikings QB Kyler Murray (Concussion)
Murray took a cheap shot to the head that resulted in a concussion, and he would not return to the game in a win against the Green Bay Packers in his debut as Vikings starter. He will have to advance through the NFL's concussion protocol before suiting up for Week 2.
