Every Baltimore Ravens fan is asking whether the franchise will have starting quarterback Lamar Jackson back for a crucial AFC North showdown in Week 7 with the Cincinnati Bengals. On Friday, the Ravens couldn't offer a definitive answer, but they did provide an encouraging update.
Jackson revealed on Friday that he has been dealing with a high ankle sprain, and when asked if he was going to play against the Bengals, he didn't have a "yes" or a "no" answer – but he seemed optimistic that things were trending well for his return.
"Right now I'm headed in the right direction. I can't call it right now," Jackson said. "We'll see, man. Hopefully. But I feel like I'm headed in the right direction."

Meanwhile, Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said that Jackson got a "pretty good amount of work in" on Friday, and that "we're still working through" whether or not Jackson will be the starter this Sunday for the team. If not, the team will fall back on Tyler Huntley, who is 1-1 this season as a starter.
Huntley led the Ravens to an overtime win against the Falcons in his first game at the helm, but his 165-yard, one-touchdown performance was not enough last week as the Ravens lost a 13-10 game against AFC North rival Cleveland, dropping the Ravens to third in the division while the Browns jumped to first place.
