As the NFL season continues to stretch on, each week in your fantasy league becomes more important. If you want fantasy football bragging rights among your friends/family/coworkers this season, the roster moves you make now are crucial. Here's which wide receivers you should start and the ones you should sit in Week 9.
Start Em'
Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers: Last week, we suggested sitting McConkey – he ended up with a respectable four receptions for 86 yards and 12.6 fantasy points. The Chargers don't have a great offense, but Justin Herbert has to throw the ball to someone. And this week, McConkey faces a Texans defense giving up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing receivers.
Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts: The Colts' offense isn't spectacular,
but they have a strong enough wideout in Allen. He scored 13.7 fantasy points last week and has done that twice in the past five games for Indianapolis. He faces a favorable match-up this week as well against a Cowboys defense struggling with injuries and allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
Matthew Golden, Green Bay Packers: We recommended Golden last week, and he caught seven passes for 79 yards and a touchdown. He'll stay on the start list this week, as he's been a formidable fantasy option all year. This week, he'll face a Patriots defense allowing nearly 32 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
Sit Em'
Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens: Flowers has been a legitimate threat all season in the receiving game, but he's not landing on this list for any reason under his own control. Lamar Jackson is headed to the IR and needs thumb surgery, and Tyler Huntley is out for the year with a turf toe injury. Joe Fagnano will start at QB for the Ravens this week – the undrafted free agent threw for just 90 yards and one interception last week.
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions: Be aware this is a risky decision, given that Williams has 16 or more fantasy points in his last four outings. But this week's matchup bodes poorly for him, as he faces a Dolphins defense that has allowed just five total touchdowns and 16.1 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers over seven contests.
Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers: Coker started the season off quite strong, but has since averaged just 7.8 fantasy points per game. His match-up this week couldn't be worse, as he'll face a Broncos defense that allows the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
