The San Francisco 49ers are rolling against the Los Angeles Rams in Australia. Quarterback Brock Purdy is having a night with touchdowns to three different receivers, most recently to Deebo Samuel, extending San Francisco’s lead to 24-7.

Samuel spent the first six years of his NFL career with the 49ers before playing with the Washington Commanders last season. The 49ers elected to bring him back in the offseason, and if this 2026 opener is any indication, it seems like the move will prove worthwhile for both San Francisco and Deebo Samuel.
San Francisco's defense is feeding off its offensive success and forced the Rams' second turnover
of the game to get the ball back with 11 minutes left and a short field.
