Despite being in just his third season in the NFL, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams could etch his name into the all-time record books very soon.
As the Bears prepare for a Monday Night Football showdown with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle in Week 8, Williams will enter the contest having gone 35 straight regular-season games with 20 or more pass attempts and one or fewer interceptions. That ties him with current Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the longest such streak in NFL history.

Williams has played in
just four games this season, after suffering a hamstring injury in a Week 2 loss to the Vikings that sidelined him for several weeks. He's played two games since his return and picked right up where he left off, combining for 613 passing yards and three touchdowns in those two outings. On the season, Williams has thrown for 1,020 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception.
The Bears are 5-2 so far this season and are sitting in second place in the NFC North behind the undefeated Vikings. After making a blockbuster trade for star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons earlier this week, the Bears are clearly aiming for a Super Bowl run this season after making the playoffs for the first time in five years last season. And if Williams continues to play at his current pace, it could go a long way in making that happen.
