Atwell will return to a team he left this offseason in March after signing a one-year, $1.4 million deal with the Dolphins. Jarquez Hunter has been battling for a spot during training camp, but will now head to Miami, where he can provide some much-needed depth behind De'Von Achane.
Atwell, if used within the right system, and the Rams one is familiar, can be considered a dual threat. During his five years with the Rams, he would rush for
16 times, 72 yards, and a touchdown.
He will still need to find his footing as a receiver, as his best season came in 2023, when he totaled 39 catches for 483 yards and 3 touchdowns, while playing in 14 games.
For his career, Atwell has caught 105 passes for just over 1,500 yards and 5 touchdowns.
