When the Los Angeles Rams announced over the summer that they had acquired Myles Garrett via a trade with the Cleveland Browns, rumors quickly spread that Aaron Donald was ready to come out of retirement to team with Garrett. That culminated in the return of Donald, who rejoined the team just before the beginning of the regular season.
But Donald wasn't ready to play in Week 1, and Garrett suffered a knee injury that required surgery, pushing back the duo's debut even further after Donald returned in Week 2. But now, after seven weeks on the IR list, it was confirmed Friday that Garrett will return this Sunday as the Rams play the Commanders.

Garrett is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year after setting the NFL single-season sack record in 2025 and is a seven-time All-Pro selection. Meanwhile, Donald is a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and an eight-time All-Pro selection.
Donald is off to a slow start this season, with just 12 tackles (3 TFL) through six games, while Garrett recorded zero tackles in his season debut. But after much anticipation, it will be interesting to see what having both players healthy and in the defensive rotation will do for the Rams as they look to claw their way back into the NFC West race.
