On Tuesday, Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams gave their kicker the boot.
Mevis missed two field goals in the 37-34 overtime loss to Buffalo.
He said he thought he hit the OT chance well and can fix things if given the chance. That will have to happen elsewhere.
Rams kicker Harrison Mevis said he hit the overtime kick that was blocked good and just got around and hooked the FG
missed in regulation. Still believes he can get things fixed: “I know who I am and I know how I’ll respond as a kicker. I have a next kick mentality.” pic.twitter.com/GbcjL2IeGW

McVay is adding Blake Grupe from the practice squad as the Rams, who are 2-3, get ready for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.
Mevis missed four of nine attempts this year after hitting 12 of 13 in 2025.
Grupe has connected on 18-of-27 field goals while playing for the Saints and Colts since 2025.
