On a drive fueled by penalties, the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to capitalize and get in the end zone for the first touchdown of the game. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers pitched it to Roman Wilson who ran 12 yards for the touchdown. It gave Pittsburgh a 7-0 lead with just under three minutes left in the first quarter.

The touchdown capped off a 17-play drive that lasted nearly 10 minutes. The Cleveland Browns allowed the drive to keep going after having three penalties on third and 16. Two of those penalties - illegal contact and unnecessary roughness
- were declined. But, the roughing the passer penalty on Rodgers gave the Steelers a first down in the red zone which led to the score.
Cleveland went three-and-out on their opening drive and were looking to respond to Pittsburgh’s touchdown with a score of their own. However, they were forced to punt just past midfield. The Browns have only scored three points in the first quarter in their first three games and it does not seem they will have their first touchdown in the first quarter in this game.
