Things are not going as planned for the Los Angeles Rams so far this season. After losing their season opener 27-7 to the San Francisco 49ers, the Rams will now be without their top player on defense, Myles Garrett, who is headed to injured reserve and will be out for at least four games.

Garrett is undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery due to knee swelling he has had since late in July. He tried to play through the pain and even played on 62 percent of Los Angeles’ defensive snaps in their loss to the 49ers. However, following the game, he made the decision
to have surgery because he was not playing like himself in the opener.
Since he is being placed on IR, he will miss a minimum of four games. However, it is unclear if he will be back for the Rams’ game against the Arizona Cardinals in mid-October or their game after that versus the Las Vegas Raiders to finish off October.
Hopefully by making the decision to have surgery now, he will be at 100 percent down the stretch when the Rams are playing the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks in December along with their game against Seattle to finish off the season.
