What is the story about?
The
quarterback carousel in the NFL never stops.
On Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings announced that Carson Wentz would be their starter on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills.
The journeyman replaces Kyler Murray, who is nursing a hamstring injury.
The Vikings are Wentz's sixth team. This is his second season with them.
Last year he was 2-3 as a starter. In 2026, he has appeared in two games, winning one as a starter.
Wentz has completed 23-of-39 passes for 276 yards with three touchdowns this season.
Coach Kevin O'Connell said Murray is not a candidate to go on IR.
"It's not under consideration at all," O'Connell said.
