Because Giants head coach John Harbaugh is keeping quiet on the matter.

In a fiery press conference interaction on Wednesday, Harbaugh made it clear that he did not want to discuss starters, playing time, special packages, or really any other information that might actually be pertinent to what can be expected from his team in their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

"I can just say this right now: can we put a stop to all these questions, because

I'm not going to tell you who is playing in the game," Harbaugh said. "I'm not going to tell you who is starting, what package we have in, what play we're running. I'm not going to tell you any of that. So we can make it great and have a great press conference, or we can make it uncomfortable."

But Harbaugh isn't just trying to be the angry old man shaking his fist at the clouds. He has a reason for not wanting to reveal that information, and it relates to his strategy ahead of the game.

"I'm not going to tell you because what you know, the Cowboys know, and every other team knows. That's not in the competitive interest of our football team. Does that make sense? So I think you can respect that."

Harbaugh will make his debut as the Giants' head coach against the Cowboys this Sunday, September 13, on Sunday Night Football, with the kickoff set for 8:20 PM.
