The Minnesota Vikings are currently in the middle of their season-opener against the Green Bay Packers, and things are not going well for the franchise.
After beating out Carson Wentz and J.J. McCarthy for the starting job in his first season with the Vikings, there was plenty of hype around Kyler Murray entering Week 1. But in the first quarter, Murray left the game after getting injured midway through a slide on a quarterback keeper. Now, it has been revealed that Murray suffered a concussion, and will not return for the Vikings during the game.

Murray didn't get a real chance to show what he can do in the role before suffering the injury, but an early interception offered some concerns about how well he was going to perform. He went 3-for-5 passing for 18 yards and registered two carries for nine yards before exiting the game.
Wentz entered the game as the backup for the Vikings, as of the writing of this article, the Vikings trail the Packers 12-3 in the second quarter, with Wentz currently 2-for-5 passing for 10 yards with two carries for two yards. And if Wentz continues to struggle, this may open an opportunity for former starter McCarthy, who was recently demoted to third-string, to get an opportunity to win back the starting role.
