Follow along every weekend as I share my favorite Primetime Slate lineups (Sunday night to Monday night), including a complete breakdown of all fantasy-relevant players on the slate.
Recommended Primetime DFS lineups
DK Lineup: QB Jalen Hurts ($6.8k), RB Kyren Williams ($6.1k), RB D'Andre Swift ($6.2k), WR DeVonta Smith ($7.1k), WR Davante Adams ($6.2k), WR Dontayvion Wicks
($4.1k), TE Terrance Ferguson ($2.7k), FLEX Saquon Barkley ($7.0k), DST Philadelphia Eagles ($3.2k)FD Lineup: QB Jalen Hurts ($8.6k), RB Kyren Williams ($8.2k), RB J.K. Dobbins ($6.2k), WR DeVonta Smith ($7.7k), WR Luther Burden III ($5.9k), WR Dontayvion Wicks ($5.8k), TE Terrance Ferguson ($5.0k), FLEX D'Andre Swift ($7.3k), DST Philadelphia Eagles ($4.8k)
Jalen Hurts (QB1) is the only safe quarterback on this
slate. Matthew Stafford (QB2) is the best of the worst backup options, as he faces the elite Denver secondary on the road. Bo Nix (QB3) faces an equally challenging defense from the Rams. Finally, we have Case Keenum (QB6). He hasn't started a game since 2023, and he has only four starts since the onset of COVID. As of Friday, it appears he will be forced into action because the Bears' backup Tyson Bagent (QB5 - concussion) is in the concussion protocol, and Caleb Williams (QB4 - hamstring) was last seen being carted off the field crying last week, suggesting a far more serious injury than the one he was officially diagnosed with. Whoever starts for Chicago will have no hope against the Eagles' defensive front. I will say this: considering his price and the weapons at his disposal, Keenum could be a fun start, because we know that Chicago will be playing from behind.
Welcome to the everyone-is-injured edition of the running back preview. Saquon Barkley (RB1 - shoulder) left last week's game with a stinger. I believe he will play, and if he does, he is the best option available. I will probably use him in my FLEX slot, so if he suffers a setback on Monday, I can sub in someone. Barkley isn't alone on the Eagles' running back injury list. Both of his backups, Tank Bigsby (RB6 - hamstring) and Will Shipley (RB10 - foot), are questionable. Whoever starts for Philly will be a great play.
With questions surrounding the Eagles' backfield, Kyren Williams (RB2) makes the safest RB1 play. I will pair him with D'Andre Swift (RB3). Both players split backfield touches with Blake Corum (RB5) and Kyle Monangai (RB8), respectively. Each has the ability to flip the slate, and I recommend pivoting them into some lineups for variance reasons. I prefer the Rams' pair because they face a lesser run defense than Chicago faces. J.K. Dobbins (RB4 - hip) and R.J. Harvey (RB7 - hamstring) have both overcome their injuries, but their backfield mate, Jonah Coleman (RB9 - ankle), was ruled out on Friday. Dobbins and Harvey are both RB2 pivots, but I don't trust either of them.
Puka Nacua (WR2 - hip) remains unlikely to play. Even if he plays, he gets an awful assignment facing Denver's secondary. I don't love Davante Adams (WR3) in this matchup either, but coming off last week's blowup, he may be a lock in your lineup at WR1. Personally, I prefer using DeVonta Smith (WR1 - hamstring), assuming he can get past his own injury concerns. One of these three must be your WR1, and there is an argument for using both Adams and Smith.
WR2 will come down to Jaylen Waddle (WR4) in a tough matchup, Luther Burden III (WR5) in an average matchup or starting Dontayvion Wicks (WR6). There is a solid argument for starting both Wicks and Smith paired with Hurts. Both Courtland Sutton (WR8) and Rome Odunze WR7) are good receivers, but each has struggled to start the season. Burden and Wicks are my favorites from this list. Makai Lemon (WR9) also could enter the conversation at WR2 if Smith has a setback between now and Monday, while Hollywood Brown (WR12) could be a WR3 pivot.
I will probably fill all three receiver spots with that first nine-player list. That said, if I need to punt the WR3 slot, I will consider Kalif Raymond (WR10) or Pat Bryant (WR11). I don't like any of the Rams' depth wide receivers: Konata Mumpfield (WR12), Jordan Whittingham (WR13 - quad), and Tutu Atwell (WR15) can all be left for Showdown, as can Denver depth receiver Troy Franklin (WR14).
The top-ranked tight end this week has one catch this season. Colston Loveland (TE1) is the most talented tight end on the slate. He is also basically unplayable at his salary and usage. Terrance Ferguson (TE2) will be my top option following a minor breakout last week. Of course, if Nacua plays, Ferguson's value will tumble. The third-ranked tight end and top pivot just signed with his team this week. Zach Ertz (TE3) has a long history with the Eagles' organization, suggesting that he could step right in. Johnny Mundt (TE6) may actually get the start, but Ertz is the better fantasy option.
Evan Engram (TE4) has a tough matchup (and a coach that hates to target tight ends). He also played second fiddle to Nate Adkins (TE5) last week. They can both be left for Showdown lineups. Both Colby Parkinson (TE7) and Cole Kmet (TE8) are TD-dependent punt plays. They will be the top two options for Showdown value savings, but both make soft regular slate plays. After a goose egg last week, I will not be using Tyler Higbee (TE9).
Feel free to use any of the defenses except the Chicago Bears (DEF4). You should be able to afford the Philadelphia Eagles (DEF1), and they are the top choice, although the Los Angeles Rams (DEF2) and Denver Broncos (DEF3) are in play as pivots.
