The Boston Celtics might need to change how they play against the New York Knicks when they host the reigning champions at TD Garden for their first home game of the 2026-27 NBA regular season. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the "First to the Floor" podcast, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney, who took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk about how what went sideways against the Detroit Pistons in Boston's first game of the season, and how it can be fixed vs. New York,.
They talk about what Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla and the players did in the Pistons loss on a team-wide level, but also get into more of a granular approach as well. Can the Celtics make adjustments to avoid going into a -02
hole to start their current campaign?
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about what needs to change against the Knicks for the Celtics to have a shot at wining.
