If the way the Boston Celtics approach the sport of golf is a bellwether of what we can expect from them on the court this season, the team will be in good shape once Opening Night rolls around later this month. The storied ball club already had a group of players who were into the sport, and as we have recently reported, several new arrivals like Paul George and Mike Conley have been getting into the game as well.
Asked who among them is the most competitive on the links after a training camp practice on Wednesday (Oct. 1) morning, star Boston forward Jayson Tatum replied(via CLNS Media) "(Pritchard) always wants to play, especially now that Mike done beat his (expletive) a couple of times – he (doesn't) like that. So (Pritchard) always wants to play golf."
The St. Louis native had plenty to say about Pritchard part from the sport of golf, specifically how that same competitiveness serves the University of Oregon alum well as an NBA player.
"I think (Pritchard's) biggest strength, or one of them, is just his confidence and his ability and his work ethic," said Tatum. "(Pritchard) is always looking at ways to get better, looking at ways to challenge himself."
"He's a hell of a competitor. He just loves the hoop. Being a 6-foot white guard, right, and gotten to the point where he (is in) his career, like, it's because he works his ass off, and he just competes at the highest level."
