Still just 22 years old, it might surprise some to learn that forward Jordan Walsh has already played three seasons with the Boston Celtics. But it might surprise more to learn that Walsh has only just settled into a starting role with the team in the first few games of his fourth campaign in the league.
Those starts were rusty at first, but the Arkansas alum has settled into some solid production on both ends of the court – even if his defense has been the main skill Walsh brings to bear for Boston. "It just shows that coming out of training camp, the coaches, and organization, and then of course the other four guys had a belief in me," said Walsh in a recent interviewwith CLNS Media.
"I don't know how much they had to say in him, but. It definitely
shows that Joe and the organization has a belief in me to go with me in that way," he added.
I wouldn't say a routine is much different than it is now," said Walsh. "I think where I'm at now is trying to find a fit to this new team."
"Having PG come and Mitch is a big change in our offense. I feel like during those times, I found a rhythm with those guys that were playing, and the guys that were out there. And so now it's about trying to find that same rhythm with these guys. I think defensively ... we're really good. I think PG being able to be an off-ball playmaker – he's a really good home ball defender – but being able to be an off-ball playmaker and not worry about having to guard the best guy, I think that takes a load off of him."
"He used to play more free, he used to play however he likes and I think that's my job is to open that up for them and everybody else trying to do that to the best ability I can."
