The NBA is not ready for Jayson Tatum to have a Most Valuable Player-caliber season with the Boston Celtics. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the "First to the Floor" podcast, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney, who took a recent episode of their show to talk about how this might just be the St. Louis native's last, best shot at notching an MVP award for the first time in his nearly decade-long career in the league.
With his former costar on the wing Jaylen Brown now suiting up for the Philadelphia 76ers after being dealt there for vet forward Paul George and draft assets, the narrative is indeed there for Tatum. The question is whether or not the Duke alum can put together the sort of season with the Celtics he will
need to if he really wants a chance.
