Things did not go as planned for the Boston Celtics in their Opening Night loss to the Detroit Pistons. Or at least that is the point of view of The folks behind the "Havlicek Stole the Pod" YouTube channel, who put together a clip from their most recent episode taking a deep dive into what went sideways in the Celtics' 121-113 road loss to the Pistons on this past Tuesday (Oct. 20) evening.
Squandering a historic debut from vet forward Paul George, a deferent Jayson Tatum may have done a good job setting up his teammates on a night he couldn't score, but neglected to rebound in a game his team was getting murdered on the boards. None of Boston's young wings rose to the occasion, and the bigs looked out of shape and out of sorts.
Take a look at
the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about what went wrong in the Opening Night loss – and how things might be improved moving forward.
