Star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has a lot of new teammates, and has been with the rest of the Celtics at the Citadel Military College in Charleston, South Carolina to get to know all of the new faces that have joined the roster in what has been something of a rollercoaster of an offseason.
"I think it's really allowed us even more of opportunity to connect with each other and team dinners, team activities, watch football together, golf, practice, and stuff," said the St. Louis native viaCLNS Media. "Just another really good opportunity for us to get to know each other."
One teammate in particular stood out in that process – a player who helped send Tatum and the Celtics home from the playoffs not that long ago – former New York Knicks
center Mitchell Robinson. "It's been good," said Tatum. "I love Big Mitch. – hilarious guy, and he just brings a different dynamic to our team."
"Obviously his size and his instincts on the defensive end, being a lob threat and how great of a defender and rebounder he is (are part of that)," said Tatum. "I had a hard time boxing him out for the last seven, eight years."
"So now to have him on our team and give us a different look, it's something that I'm super excited about and the rest of the group is (too)."
