Most of the Boston Celtics on the team for the 2026-27 NBA regular season who were on the roster last season have been quiet about the trade that sent star forward Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers
for Paul George and draft assets early in the offseason. And understandably so, given the difficulty of having to part ways with someone you've spent a fair amount of blood and sweat with in pursuit of a title. But Celtics point guard Derrick White shared with cohost Alex Welsh how he's been adjusting to the trade on the most recent episodeof his "White Noise" podcast. "That's the tough part about this business," said the Colorado native. "You build these relationships. You become teammates. You reach the highs of highs. You've experienced the lowest
of lows together. One day they're not your teammate anymore."
"I'm always thankful for the welcoming JB gave me when I came to Boston," said White. "And he's always given me confidence, always trusted in me, which I'm truly thankful for, especially for someone that's one of the best players in the NBA."

"And it's been amazing to see his work ethic," said the University of Colorado - Boulder alum. "It's amazing to see. The things he's done in the community, the numerous things and impacts that he's made around the Boston area that definitely inspired me and motivated me to do more."
"And so it's definitely tough to see him go, but I'm always wishing him the best. And it's going to be fun now competing against him."
